During over 46 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, Mr. McCarver has worked multiple basins, including the Texas and Louisiana Gulf Coast, Ark-La-Tex, Mid-Continent, Permian, Rockies and the Gulf of Mexico, both State and Federal areas. During the past few years, he has also conducted business in Mexico, Venezuela, and Equatorial Guinea.
Mr. McCarver has leased and directed the leasing of more than 200 drilling prospects, managed E&P programs, created joint ventures, raised capital from direct investors and promoted industry partners. Using his long list of industry contacts, he has sourced producing property acquisitions which, in most cases, were negotiated deals rather than competitive bids, creating value by avoiding the bid process. He managed or conducted the legal and technical due diligence and negotiated the purchase and sale agreements and closing. In most cases, Mr. McCarver was responsible for sourcing the funding for those investments, either from commercial lenders, private equity and mezzanine groups, or direct investors.
Mr. McCarver has leveraged into deals through 3D seismic joint ventures, and new technology including special purpose drilling technique known as casing while drilling (CWD), and the use of a proprietary (patented) technology targeting South Texas Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR) projects.
